My Favourite Lighting Ideas

The Lusting Life, My Favourite Lighting Ideas

Lighting can make or break an interior scheme. So I have rounded up my favourite lighting ideas that I’ve had bookmarked/ been lusting after in recent months…and drooling over until I can afford them.

My Favourite Lighting Ideas

French Connection

I’ve seen a couple of sofas from French Connection a while back but I didn’t realise what a fab collection of lighting they had, until I spied these babies below in their store in Brighton.

I love the arc design and marble detailing on the Smoked Floor Lamp, whilst it was love at first sight for me when I saw the Spun Done Floor Lamp. This is my ideal golden floor lamp for our living room! I’ve been searching for the perfect one for a while now and as soon as I lay eyes on it I knew this one was the one!

Rough Luck Studio

Thank-you, thank-you Jenny Kakoudakis (the talented woman behind award winning interiors blog, Seasons in Colour.) Thank-you for drawing my attention to the Leo Brass Globe Sconce by Rough Luck Studio.

Jenny was kind enough to share where she bought her stunning bedside lighting from in her bedroom makeover post here. They look bloody fabulous in her room and as soon as I spied them in her chic scheme I fell in love! These lights have all the vibes of Flos lighting without the hefty price tag. Orbs & gold are a winning combo for me!

And I spotted another little beauty whilst I was perusing Rough Luck Studio’s Etsy store, this stunning, mid-century modern vibe lamp its elegant shape & luxe feel.

The Mid century Modern ‘Quiet Sid’ Task Lamp is another statement piece I’d love to add to our lighting collection.

Another find is the Goldie Table Lamp from LimeLace Interiors which is equally as stunning. As a longtime lover of Tom Dixon Bell Table Lamps, this lamp gave me some serious Tom Dixon vibes when I first saw it. I love vintage mushroom lamps, so this is a firm favourite in my eyes. They also do a matching Goldie floor lamp too!

Ikea

Since I dragged James to Ikea a few weeks ago, this ceiling light above hasn’t left my mind. Although James is convinced it looks like the Death Star out of Star Wars, I was  more amazed at the price given its designer look of the White & Copper Pendant Lamp.

I really like the design & I think it looks a lot more expensive than it is…plus James is on board with buying it too, purely because he thinks it’s Star Wars themed! So I imagine this hung in our hallway or landing in the near future.

Another Ikea favourite was the Stockholm Table Lamp that has an integrated dimmer which I thought was a clever, little feature. I really like the design but I just wish it came in a gold/ brass finish. Either way, for £39 I thought it was pretty reasonable.
